We were delighted to host our recent Open Day at the Operator Skills Hub – giving the families and friends of our colleagues the opportunity to step into our world and see first-hand the skills, innovation, and dedication that make this venture such a success.

Guests were able to experience an exciting range of activities, from taking the driver’s seat in an ADT (Articulated Dump Truck), operating an excavator and selector grab, and meeting Balfour Beatty plc’s survey dog “Spot”, to exploring a brand-new Flannery Plant Hire X Scania Group R530. And, for our younger visitors, the day was made even more memorable with a special appearance from Bluey and Bingo. (Alongside some outstanding BBQing on show from our very own Aaron Davis.)

It was a fantastic occasion to not only demonstrate the high standards of training and technology we use every day, but also to showcase the strong sense of pride and community that underpins everything we do.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and to all those who helped make the day such a success – a true celebration of teamwork, achievement, and the bright future of plant operation.
